Description

The event will be a casual, interactive discussion with a group of 8-10 fisherfolk at the Gaba landing site, providing a platform for them to share their experiences and challenges related to drowning prevention. Their stories will be compiled into an Issue Brief containing actionable recommendations for advocacy and awareness. The event aims to encourage fisherfolk-led drowning prevention solutions, increase awareness of drowning risks, and foster stronger engagement with policymakers and stakeholders. Additionally, it will establish a networking and discussion platform for fisherfolk to collaborate on safety initiatives.
