Description

35 to 40 Practitioners from 15 districts from two Indian states – Gujarat and Mahrashtra – going to understand, discuss and shape plan of action with local communities for local actions on avoidable deaths. The focus is on agriculture and disaster risk reduction. Deaths due to snake bites, weather extreme events (cyclone, flood, extreme heat), road accidents, and other accidents will be discussed among practitioners to identify the cause and possible solutions on the ground.

The workshop is to promoting and strengthening practices to deal with extreme heat. Greater fuel efficiency reduces carbon pollution and other pollutants that damage the lungs and heats and brains. And equally for making greener places, using solar energy. Practitioners from each district will discuss local accidental deaths as well as preventive steps that has been taken. The plan of actions for 2025-2026 will have linkages for steps towards avoidable deaths.
